Namibia VAT Reclaim
We receive several emails a week asking about,
or relating problems relating to Namibia VAT reclaim. And, we wondered
as to how many people there were ‘out there’ who also had questions or
had experienced problems that hadn’t written in to us.
My personal observations at Windhoek Airport and discussions with
departing visitors revealed that the majority of them had come realize
that they simply didn’t know what they could claim for or how to make a
successful claim, thus losing money. |
It was apparent that there was a need for some detailed information so
we produced this e-booklet following consultations with the Namibia
Department of Customs & Excise and the VAT reclaim office.
This e-booklet removes those
questions you might have about what you can or cannot claim for. It
contains all of the information you need to prepare you from the time of
purchase of items on which you could be eligible for Namibia VAT
reclaim. You will know what you can, and cannot claim for. How to
recognize whether the Tax Invoice your vendor is supplying you with
contains all of the required information that you need for it to be
acceptable by the Namibia Customs Authority. Complete with reclaim
submission forms, and for those who, for some reason fail to make
reclaim while at the border customs point or Windhoek International
Airport the necessary contact details for you to make your reclaim from
your country of residence.
