It's a long trek from South Africa to
Henties Bay, but
you'll find it well worth the effort once you've arrived. This is
the place where you can get away from all of those daily stresses
that we are subjected to. You can take off your shoes and feel
relaxed just wearing your shorts and T-shirt. You won't find any
town more laid back than Henties. What action there is, and there's
plenty going on over the Christmas holidays, takes place in the sun
or under canvas. You'll find the marquees dotted around the town.
Rule number 1. If you're planning a holiday at Henties
- book your accommodation early. Many 'Christmas' visitors to the
Namibian coast prefer to camp, and most do it in style. There are
camping resorts between Swakopmund and
Henties Bay at Mile 14, Mile
30 and Jackalsputz all offering sea frontage sites.
